When my wife Christina and I purchased our vacation home on Cape Cod, managing it had become a full-time job for us. We tried to find a premium, local, trustworthy, full-service vacation rental manager and hospitality company. None existed. That’s when we founded Del Mar Vacations. After all, owning a vacation home should be a luxury, not a burden.

Imagine having your own personal maintenance staff on call to keep your home functionally optimally, year round. Hard to come by? Not with Del Mar. We’re here to handle maintenance calls for your guests—day or night. We perform an annual ‘health check’ for your home. Lawn mowing, pest control and general exterior grounds care is included. And we handle season opening, season closing, winterization and off-season safety and storm checks. Bottom line, with Del Mar, you’ll sleep easier.

Is there a minimum number of weeks I have to rent?

No, we will do our best to maximize your income around the time you’d like to
use it. Our model is flexible for owners to enjoy their home as much as they’d like
throughout the rentable period.

What is the fee for listing through Del Mar?

There is no fee for our service. All of our homeowners receive a guaranteed income, and we work to earn our “fee” or service costs by earning extra reservations that may not exist through alternatives.

Are there any upfront costs to working with you?

No. Listing your home has no out of pocket costs! We will complete an inventory during our onboarding process, and let you know if there are any suggested items to elevate the overall marketability of your home and guest experience.

Where do you market the homes?

We manage all of our listings exclusively through our reservations system that
pushes to over 50 platforms worldwide, including our direct booking site.

How do you ensure guests aren’t disrespectful?

Since all of our service teams work directly for Del Mar, everyone is trained with one goal in mind - to keep up the quality of your home. From the high level communications with guests to our trash pick ups, there are always reliable team members checking in prior to and during the reservation process.

What happens if something is lost or broken?

Del Mar is your partner. This means you’ll never be left holding the bag for guest damages, even if there are small repairs that go unreported throughout the season.


How old do I need to be to rent a vacation home?

You must be at least 25 years old to book a rental home with us, as per Massachusetts law. An ID must be furnished upon request.

What if I accidentally damage something in the home?

Fortunately, you are covered up to $500 for accidental damage before your security deposit begins to cover damage. Accidents happen, so we always encourage guests to let us know.

What if an appliance breaks or I need help during my stay?

Our Guest Services team is available seven days a week from 8am to 7pm to assist you in. We also provide 24hr emergency assistance to all of our guests.

Can I have a wedding or a large party?

Our portfolio of homes is privately owned, and we do not allow weddings or any parties out of respect for our homeowner clients. We strictly adhere to owner preferences on occupancy and town ordinances as they relate to noise violations, and take appropriate action when necessary including, but not limited to, immediate eviction of Guests from the home.

Is there Beach Equipment available at the house?

Unfortunately, we cannot guarantee that beach gear will be available at the home upon your arrival.. Many of our homeowners do leave chairs, umbrellas, and other beach gear that you are welcome to use.
