Landscape Operations Manager

SEEKING A QUALIFIED LANDSCAPE OPERATIONS MANAGER

 

ABOUT THE ROLE

Are you a seasoned landscape professional with foreman and project management experience?  Have you managed a fleet and team who have successfully executed the landscape caretaking of over 100 properties? We are looking to hire a critical support member for our Operations team.  You will report to the Director of Operations, assisting him with the day to day management of the Field Operations team (planning, scheduling, organizing, budgeting, etc.) as well as generating landscaping related quotes and managing project timelines. You will be the vital connection between our Director of Operations and the members of the Field Operations teams, coordinating schedules and work loads in order to safely achieve daily production goals while assisting with a wide range of landscaping related administrative tasks and project oversight. Fluency in Portuguese is a plus.

Inventory Specialist (Resource Manager)

We’re seeking an experienced inventory specialist to join our growing Operations team. This Operations Manager will be responsible for bulk ordering various items to support our cleaning, maintenance and guest services teams. He or she will help build an efficient inventory tracking system and warehousing program and execute on various facilities and fleet management needs as needed. This specialist will be supported by a warehouse clerk to help execute Del Mar’s vision for inventory and equipment management.

Objectives

 

Attract & Hire Excellent Talent

  • Organic Pipeline: generate networking and community pipelines for talent
  • Outbound Pipeline: use lead sources to proactively seek out talent for the hiring plan
  • Benefits/ Marketing Benefits: manage benefits programs to optimally attract and retain talent
  • Plan to the Org Chart:  Design hiring plan, using org chart as framework, to support growth over the next 3 years

Responsibilities 

 

  • Develop, refine and evolve the company’s human resource policies to appropriately meet the needs of a rapidly expanding business. 
  • Manage all aspects of employee relations; ensure Company policies are administered fairly and consistently. 
  • Ensure legal compliance with all applicable local state and federal employment laws, including but not limited to FLSA, FMLA and ADA to minimize risk/exposure to the company.
  • Lead recruiting and staffing processes.  Minimize recruiting costs by implementing creative direct recruitment initiatives.
  • Design & implement employee retention strategies.  
  • Manage organizational change and advise  the CEO on opportunities to optimize the organization’s performance.
  • Create and revise  employee benefit programs and oversee annual enrollment; evaluate alternatives and compare to industry and local benchmarks.

 

Desired skills/traits/competencies

 

  • 8-10 yrs Human Resource Generalist experience, preferably in a growing and multi-location environment. 3+ years of management experience.
  • Knowledge of industry trends and current employment legislation. Ability to ensure adherence to federal, state, and local legal requirements, and advise management on needed actions to remain compliant.
  • Familiarity with all aspects of HR including compensation, recruitment, benefits, training, employee relations, and performance management. Previous HRIS experience.

Guest Services Associate

ABOUT THE ROLE

Our Guest Services Associates are our frontline representatives – the members of this team provide the highest level of customer service to Del Mar’s Guests and potential Guests seeking accommodations and hospitality service. In-house Guest care and providing a Five-Star experience are central to our ability to encourage repeat guests and meet our booking goals; this role is pivotal to our continued success and growth. We are looking for someone with excellent communication skills: both in live conversation (able to work over the phone in a friendly, patient, helpful manner, courteous under all circumstances) as well as via text and email, possessing clear and effective writing skills. Flexibility in performing new tasks as needed is a requirement, as is the ability to instantly adjust to shifting priorities according to our Guests’ needs. The capacity to switch between a variety of technological platforms to make reservations, log maintenance requests, track reservations data and run various reports is also a must.
